Mama’s Mackerel Rice

This meal tastes so good! Mama’s Mackerel Rice


1 onion

3 cloves garlic

2 diced carrots

1 chopped pepper

A cup of frozen peas

2 sticks of sliced celery

1 carton of passata

1 fish stock cube

1 packet of ready to eat mackerel fillets torn into pieces.


1. In a deep frying pan fry the veg until soft.

2. Once soft add the passata, mackerel and crumbled stock cube.

3. Season with pepper and a pinch of dried herbs (optional)

4. Pop a lid on a turn to a low heat a simmer for half an hour.

5. Serve with rice. Enjoy!
